Cup Draw

Draw for the BBS Primary Club National Knockout Cup 2008

The draw for the 2008 BBS Primary Club National Knockout Cup has kept the biggest sides apart in the early rounds.
9 Teams etered this years competition and for the second year in a row that did not include Worcester.
The draw carried out by BBS Cricket Chairman David Gavrilovic and ECB Disability Cricket Manager Ian Martin saw Eastern Vipers drawn to face BBS League Champions Birmingham in the only Preliminary Round game.
The lower half of the draw looks on paper the stronger side of the draw as 2006 BBS Champions Northants travel to 2006 Cup winners South Wales Dragons in the quarters. As well as that Warwickshire the 2007 BCEW League Champions may well face 2007 BBS League Champions Birmingham if they get past Vipers.
The winners of those games will then face each other.
Sussex will feel this is their best chance yet to reach a final as they will be at home in both the quarters and semi's if they progress.
This years final will again take place at the home of cricket, Lords, on Saturday August 9th.
